Summer Swim Team 2013

Tyler, Emalyn, and Krysta were all on the summer swim team this year. Tyler and Emalyn's team was the Yellow Submarine's, and Krysta's team were the Red Spidermen.  Krysta's swim meet was first. They swam in the shorter end of the pool, about 10-15 yds.  She did great!
Here is Krysta with the red cap and orange/blue swimsuit, waving to Daddy and Russell up in the stands.  Scott watched Russell and took all the pictures you see here so I could go be a timer down on the pool deck.  Oh the memories this day brought back of swim meets long long ago!

She got to the end, and here they are explaining to her that she is only half-way done-she still has to go back across one more time.

It was so much fun to watch her.  She wanted to win every race!

Then Tyler and Emalyn's meet started.  Their meet was in the regular part of the pool where it was 25 yds across.  Neither of them had any races for the first 20 min of the meet, so they just sat on the side together.

Here is Emalyn getting ready for her first race.  It was the second leg of a 4x25yd relay, so they had her start in the water instead of dive in.

Scott got this flattering picture of me.  Timing is so exciting!

Emalyn is awesome in the backstroke!

I am so proud of these kids and how well they did.  When the season started, they could barely get across the pool. This meet is only 3 weeks into the season, and they were already swimming races back and forth across the pool.  They conquered their fears, and got pretty good at it too!

They look GREAT! These photos reminded me of many, many many swim meets with my kids. And being a swim judge when you and Ryan were on the High School team, remember that? Those were good times; I'm happy your family is having them.
