As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we can enter holy temples if we are worthy. Scott and I got to go to the temple together tonight. It was wonderful to be there. It'd been a while since our recommends expired before Russell got his cast on, and it took us a while to get them renewed. It was wonderful to be in a place of love, peace, and tranquility. To be in His Holy House.
I always want to bring that feeling of peace home with me and keep it. It's hard to do. The temple also helps me to gain a better perspective on life and what's really important. I am thankful for the temple.

I agree - the temple is a place for renewal and strength. Does this mean you found a babysitter who could take care of a baby in a cast? Was Russell in bed when you left? How nice that you had some time for just the two of you!
Sorry-I should have put that on the post too. I was just in a hurry. We hired a babysitter for the older 3, and just put Russell to bed before she came. We went to the last session at the temple. It was nice to be able to get out for a bit. I'd thought we wouldn't be able to do that until he was out of his cast, but then we realized we could just go out late, and put him in bed before we left. It was also a babysitter that we've had before and felt pretty comfortable with.
I just read this from Pres. Monson, and it reminded me of what you described in your recent post about going to the temple:
"As you and I go to the holy houses of God, as we remember the covenants we make within, we will be more able to bear every trial and to overcome each temptation. In this sacred sanctuary we will find peace; we will be renewed and fortified."
